Yup kiddos, it’s contest time!

This time around, you need to challenge yourself to put your sewing skills to the test!

CONTEST DEADLINES: June 3rd – July 13th, 11:59 pm Eastern time (10:59 pm Central time, 9:59 pm Mountain time, 8:59 pm Western time)


RULES:
You are to make a scraps monster, similar to my Darwin. Because scraps monsters are meant to be unique, there are no definite requirements for how your scraps monster needs to look. However, you must sew your scraps monsters, as scraps monsters are plushies; not drawings or sculptures.

You must sew your scraps monster, by hand or by machine.
Use a variety of fabrics, and be creative when designing your scraps monster.
Your scraps monster may be of any size.
Please name your scraps monster after a famous scientist, and include a short description about your scientist if you wish. (Sorry, the names 'Darwin' and 'Mendel' are taken. They belong to me and ~SanbiiKo.)
Take photos (or a photo) of your scraps monster to submit here on Deviant Art. Be as creative as you like when taking pictures of your scraps monster! My Darwin explored the kitchen when I took pictures of him.
Sorry, but you must live within the United States to participate. I can’t afford international shipping fees when it comes to mailing prizes. D:

EDIT: ANYONE CAN ENTER, DESPITE WHERE YOU LIVE. As suggested by *ikklesammy, International entries will now be accepted. Your prizes can not be mailed to you though, and will instead be simply posted here on dA. Also, I can email you your prize if you like.

PRIZES:
There will be two winners; Grand Prize winner and Runner Up.

The Grand Prize winner will receive:
One free requested digital print, hand-signed
The Runner Up will receive:
One pencil sketch of choice, hand-signed

Winners, please send me a note with your drawing requests. I can do fanart, original characters, and more. Also, in the note please include your mailing address so I can mail your prizes. Again, participants must live in the US for shipping purposes.

The winners will be judged by myself and ~SanbiiKo
The two winners will be chosen based on the following criteria:
Creativity
Craftsmanship
